Can you sync Airbnb with MakeMyTrip and Goibibo?
Many Indian homestays list on MakeMyTrip and Goibibo next to Airbnb, Booking.com and Agoda. The question we hear most: can they all share one calendar?
The short answer
Not with a calendar link, at least not yet. Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda and Vrbo let you export and import iCal links. MakeMyTrip and Goibibo (both part of the same group) don't offer that. They connect to other software only through direct partner connections, which some channel managers have.
Your options
1. Keep MakeMyTrip in step by hand
Use one master calendar for everything else, and update MakeMyTrip from it. This works well for a few rooms:
- When a booking arrives from MakeMyTrip or Goibibo, add it to your master calendar straight away, so it closes the dates on Airbnb, Booking.com and Agoda.
- When a booking arrives elsewhere, close those dates in the MakeMyTrip host app.
- Check MakeMyTrip once every morning against the master calendar.
2. Keep fewer rooms on MakeMyTrip
If you have several rooms, list only some of them on MakeMyTrip. Fewer shared rooms means fewer chances of a clash.
3. A channel manager with a MakeMyTrip connection
For hotels and larger guesthouses taking many MakeMyTrip bookings a day, a channel manager with an official MakeMyTrip connection is worth it. Ask how it connects and what it costs per room.
