How to find your Vrbo iCal link (and import other calendars)
Vrbo lets you share your property's calendar as a link and read other sites' calendars the same way. Here is where both settings live, and the one thing that makes Vrbo different.
Export: copy your Vrbo calendar link
- Sign in to Vrbo and open your owner dashboard.
- Pick the property, then open Calendar → Import / Export calendars.
- Choose Export and copy the link. It usually contains
vrbo.com/icalendar/and ends in.ics.
Paste that link into the import setting of every other site you list on (or into Axorooms, which then passes it on to all of them).
Import: bring other calendars into Vrbo
- On the same Import / Export calendars page, choose Import.
- Paste the other site's link (for example your Airbnb export link) and give it a clear name.
- Save. Nights booked on that site now show as unavailable on Vrbo after Vrbo's next read.
The catch: Vrbo reads slowly
Airbnb re-reads imported calendars about every 3 hours and Booking.com about every 2. Vrbo is often much slower, in many cases about once a day. That makes Vrbo the most likely place for a double booking when you list on several sites.
- Require at least one day of advance notice on Vrbo.
- When a peak-date booking comes in elsewhere, close those nights on Vrbo by hand as well.
- Check the imported calendar's status now and then. A link that stops working fails quietly.
Same steps for Vrbo's sister sites
Abritel (France), FeWo-direkt (Germany), Stayz (Australia), Bookabach (New Zealand) and AlugueTemporada (Brazil) run on the same system, so the menus are the same. Axorooms supports all of them.
